Project "Fernweh"

Within this project we want to inform about other cultures and arouse interest in discovering foreign countries.
Among other things we are planning international cookings, thematic movie nights, lectures and exhibitions and a regular internation radio.

In our aim to reach students, but also pupils mostly in Ilmenau, we are supported by the international office We4You, the student organisation Stura, but also by our students radio broadcasting association hsf and the students movie club hfc.
Furthermore we want to gather impressions of travelling trough foreign cultures and countries from different students, using films, photos or blogs. The films we get will be broadcasted as openers at the hfc movie nights.
The very first event of the project will be the "international dinner" during the refreshmen-week at the Ilmenau University of Technology (Erstiwoche 2011). On Monday the 3rd of October we are going to combine the traditional barbecue of the bi- students club with tastes and impressions of the cultures on our campus.
